Petr currently works as a Sr. Machine Learning Researcher at Avast. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning in 2017 which significant part he spent at INRIA Paris research institute working on U.S. Government IARPA project. Before joining Avast, he spent some time doing a fellowship at the UC Berkeley. Since the high-school, he was interested in building and flying manned airplanes. He started flying the microlight airplanes, became an active member of the Czech Microlight Team and flew several international championships as both the pilot and the navigator. Petr participated in several aircraft building projects (Hi-Max, Mobydick D8, LK2 Sluka) and will guide us through the process of having an idea of building an airplane until the first flight made by a test pilot.
